CSE 250 type angled connector head
Application:
Shielded elbow connector (90°) with a capacitive test point, designed for terminating and connecting single-core polyethylene-insulated cables with copper wire screens (types YH(A)KXS, XH(A)KX(S), XUH(A)KXS, XRUH(A)KXS, NA2XS(F)2Y*)—rated for 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV, and 12/20 kV—to switchgear, transformers, and motors equipped with Type A bushings, connectors, and sockets.
Construction:
- Termination of the working conductor using a thick-walled, sealed mechanical lug with a screw-in angled pin.
- Electromagnetic field control and restoration of the outer cable insulation layer using an integrated, UV-resistant, slip-on prefabricated component that maintains constant contact pressure on the cable insulation.
Characteristics:
- Continuous current – 250 A.
- Diurnally variable current (8 h within a 24-hour period) – 300 A.
- Watertight and mechanically resistant to external factors.
- The head is designed for operation in vertical, horizontal, and intermediate positions, as well as for indoor or outdoor use.
- Thanks to the use of a prefabricated component with a conductive outer rubber layer connected to the ground, the termination is fully shielded and safe to touch.
- Efficient and straightforward installation.
- Fabrication of the head without the need for heat sources, such as a gas burner.
- Installation directly in the field, in transformer stations, in switchgear, or in the workshop.
Composition:
The kit is designed for three cores. The cardboard packaging contains all the components necessary to assemble the termination, along with installation instructions and a bill of materials.
The kit includes terminals for return and working conductors.
